U Ethical joins the Honour Roll!

Quit Nukes celebrates another nuclear weapons-free financial institution.

U Ethical is an investment manager originally established in 1985 by the Uniting Church, and is one of the largest ethical investment managers in Australia with over $1 billion under management.

U Ethical has always excluded companies involved in any way with all weapons including and particularly nuclear weapons, and invests only in products and services, like sustainable agriculture, health care and clean energy, which provide for a healthy future for people and the planet. As such they are probably the first fully ethical financial institution in Australia.

We are very pleased to celebrate the addition of U Ethical to our Honour Roll. Dr Jenny Grounds and Elise West from Quit Nukes presented Director Mathew Browning and staff with our certificate of commendation in their Melbourne Office.

We look forward to continuing to work with U Ethical to further our goal of reducing Australian investments in companies involved in the production, maintenance, transport and storage of these most dangerous of all weapons.

The Quit Nukes team is particularly grateful to U Ethical’s Ethics and Impact Manager, Désirée Luchesse for her assistance.
